The NZ Transport Agency says it is confident that relatively small number of vehicles imported from the area around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in Japan since the devastating earthquake and tsunami on 11 March 2011 will not be contaminated with radioactive material.
The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is to remove the current T2 lane restrictions along Mana Esplanade and replace them clearways, together with new traffic signals at the Marina View intersection. This follows the Environment Court's approval of a consent order to enable these changes to proceed.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 8 April.
