NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) will be seeking public feedback in September on separate proposals to toll three new state highways in the North Island.
Wellington drivers can expect lane closures on State Highway 1 near Churton Park tonight and tomorrow. Road crews will do urgent pavement repairs in the southbound slow lane to repair rutting and potholes.
UPDATE 1:45 pm:
State Highway 58 is now open in both directions between Joseph Banks Drive and James Cook Drive. Localised flooding and a slip that earlier affected the route have been cleared.
