Drivers, especially those planning to travel in the lower North and upper South Islands of New Zealand, should be cautious on the roads tomorrow (Monday, 1 July), with bad weather forecast for these areas.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) advises that there will be delays of up to 30 minutes on Monday, 1 July between Ikamatua and Stillwater (SH7), near Greymouth.
UPDATE: The state highways connecting Napier, Wairoa and Gisborne remain open today, despite more rain overnight. State Highway 38 from Frasertown to Lake Waikaremoana remains closed.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi advises that the State Highway 1 East Taupo Arterial will be closed tomorrow night from 8.00pm Tuesday 25 June, so signage can be replaced between Centennial Drive and Broadlands Road.
Safer speed limits are in place from today on short sections of State Highway 11 (SH11) between Kawakawa and Paihia and State Highway 1 (SH1) between Kawakawa and Whangārei.
