The NZ Transport has extended the closure of SH6 from Woodstock Rimu Road near Hokitika in the north, to south of Fox Glacier, due to further slips on the Fox Hills between Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, and extensive flooding across 5km of SH6 at Evans Straight north of the Whanganui River.
The NZ Transport Agency has closed SH6 between Harihari (near Robertson Rd just North of Harihari) and Franz Josef in South Westland. The closure is being manned by contractors at both points.
