The NZ Transport Agency is advising that the new southbound road layout at Linden along the Tawa straights, created overnight on Thursday 3 August, will be re-done as the tapers onto and off the new alignment require extending. The layout is being returned to its original, straight lanes this afternoon, Friday 4 August, and the Transmission Gully project team hope to be able to re-do the work on Sunday night, 6 August, weather permitting.
The NZ Transport Agency is advising drivers heading south into the city on SH1 tomorrow that a new road layout will be in place at Linden along the Tawa straights to accommodate for work on the Transmission Gully project.
The NZ Transport Agency is advising work to replace the Horoera Bridge leading to the historic East Cape lighthouse will now begin on Monday, 7 August. The work was delayed last month following a dropout on East Coast Road which meant contractors were unable to access the site.
