Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency crews are continuing work to make it safer for people wanting to cross SH88 from the Dunedin to Port Chalmers shared walking/cycling path to Burkes.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is redesigning planned safety improvements along a 7.5km stretch of SH1 near Waipū, based on local knowledge received during engagement with the community.
State Highway 1 will close between Rangipo and Waiouru later this week, to allow the completion of surfacing works to resolve a number of areas that have deteriorated significantly over the winter period.
State Highway 2, from the northern entry to the Waioeka Gorge through to Matawai, will be closed from 7am to 4pm Wednesday 3 August to complete remedial work at two slip sites.
Safety barriers will be installed at three locations along State Highway 43 over the next two months. These sites will be the first of a larger safety barrier package for the highway.
