Bay of Plenty Regional Council

In the 2018–21 NLTP, $46 million of Public transport projects have been approved for funding in the Bay of Plenty region. This includes $2.4 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round for the capital and operational expenditure for the implementation of the regional interim ticketing solution and National Ticketing Programme.

Tauranga City Council

In the 2018–21 NLTP, $69 million of land transport projects have been approved for funding in Tauranga. This includes $10.7 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round for several Local road improvements ($8.4 million) and walking and cycling ($2.3 million) projects.

A further $11.6 million of work is likely to be funded, subject to funding being available at time of application: $8.3 million for Local road improvements, $2.4 million for walking and cycling, and $885,000 for Public transport.

Together, funding for these additionally approved and likely to proceed projects is $22.3 million.

Western Bay of Plenty District Council

In the 2018–21 NLTP, $47 million of land transport projects have been approved for funding in the Western Bay of Plenty district. This includes $4.3 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round for cycling facilities, including the Omokoroa to Tauranga cycleway.
