Environment Canterbury

In the 2018–21 NLTP, $112 million of Public transport projects have been approved for funding in the Canterbury district. This includes $1.7 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round for new ticketing systems and replacement of real time information. A further $5.7 million of funding is likely for the Future Public transport detailed and indicative business cases.

Kaikōura District Council

In the 2018–21 NLTP, $28 million of land transport projects have been approved for funding in the Kaikōura district. This includes $5 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round for improvements to Route 70, the alternative access route to Kaikōura.

Hurunui District Council

In the 2018–21 NLTP, $47 million of land transport projects have been approved for funding in the Hurunui district. This includes more than $5.4 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round for improvements to Route 70, the Johnston Street level crossing and replacement of street lights with LEDS.

Waimakariri District Council

In the 2018–21 NLTP, $33 million of land transport projects have been approved for funding in the Waimakariri district. This includes more than $400,000 of funding in the latest prioritisation round to complete three rail level crossing upgrades and accelerate the district’s street lighting upgrades to LEDs.

In the 2018–21 NLTP, $223 million of land transport projects have been approved for funding in Christchurch. This includes $14.5 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round for Local road improvements and $11.4 million of walking and cycling projects.

Another, $46.6 million of Local road improvements and walking and cycling projects have been identified as likely to receive funding during this NLTP period, if funding is available at the time a funding application is received.

Selwyn District Council

This includes $2.4 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round for Local road improvements: the widening of Walkers Road, the replacement of street lights with LEDs, and an indicative business case for improvements to Rolleston’s town centre. Funding has also been approved for the construction of the Lincoln-Rolleston Cycleway.
