This page relates to the 2018-21 National Land Transport Programme.

Introduction

This section provides guidance around the development of:

• Approved organisation programmes for input to regional land transport plans (RLTPs)
• Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency regionally delivered programmes for input to RLTPs
• Waka Kotahi programme of nationally delivered activities
• the Road Policing Programme
• and review of RLTPs
• the National Land Transport Programme (NLTP).

This section does not provide guidance for development of activity class programmes. eg road maintenance and public transport services programmes, or programme business cases. 

Development of activity class programmes

Advice for developing activity class programmes is provided in the pages on activity classes:
