In collaboration with our central and local government and private sector partners, we have pulled together this online resource to support the development of a reliable national electric vehicle public charging network that will meet the needs of New Zealand’s current and future electric vehicle drivers.

In particular, we would like to acknowledge the input from: Christchurch City Council, Greater Wellington Regional Council, Auckland Transport, Charge.Net, ABB, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, WorkSafe, Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority, Motor Industry Association, Imported Motor Vehicle Industry Association, Electricity Networks Association, Vector, Wellington City Council, and the Motor Trade Association.

This guidance and information draws on international documentation, and the knowledge and experience of those already actively working with charging infrastructure in New Zealand. Electric vehicle charging technology is emerging rapidly, and so this guidance and information will be updated as required.
