  • Baypark to Bayfair Link

    The Bay Link project will improve safety by separating local traffic from the state highway and rail corridor, provide safer walking and cycling connections, and complete the State Highway 2 Eastern Corridor for the Bay of Plenty.

    The Central Corridor project - along SH30A/Amohau Street - will help improve access, increase safety, and create further opportunities for multi-modal travel in Rotorua’s city centre.

    This project will improve safety for road users on the stretch of State Highway 1 from Port Marsden Highway to the Brynderwyn Hills.

  • Christchurch Northern Corridor

    This project combines Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency’s Northern Arterial (a new section of SH74 running from just south of the Waimakariri River to QEII Drive near Winters Rd) and two Christchurch City Council projects that link QEII Drive to Cranford St and four-lane Cranford St to Innes Rd.

  • Connect Rotorua

    Waka Kotahi is working with Rotorua Lakes Council to futureproof two of the city’s key transport networks: SH30/Te Ngae Road and SH30A/Amohau Street. This programme of work is called Connect Rotorua. You’ll also find information here on other Rotorua transport projects.

  • Connecting Mount Maunganui

    The Connecting Mount Maunganui project works towards solutions to improve safety and access to, from and through Mount Maunganui and to create better links for more people to go by bus, bike and walk.

It's about creating a reliable transport system across the region so people and goods can get where they want to go quicker, safety and more efficiently.

  • Connecting Peka Peka

    This project investigated connections to and from the Kāpiti Expressway in the area between Peka Peka and Ōtaki River.

  • Connecting Tairāwhiti

    Connecting Tairāwhiti is a programme of capital projects across the northern Hawke’s Bay and Tairāwhiti regions to make roads more resilient and safer for drivers. Projects are funded by the Provincial Growth Fund and the National Land Transport Fund.
