The temporary road layout fully opened in early September and traffic is now flowing around the main construction site.
A temporary roundabout has been installed on SH1/3 to allow traffic to safely turn into the new Pukenui temporary road.
An official sod turning took place at the Pukenui Road intersection on 15 May 2023.

A drop-in session was held at Te Matapihi – Bulls Community Centre on 23 May 2023 for members of the public to come along and learn about the project -– 23 May 2023.
