About the project

We’ve added flexible road safety barriers on the sides of the road, wide centrelines, widened shoulders and rumble strips to prevent people being killed and seriously injure don the route. We’ve also made improvements to some property accesses, the cemetery entrance and some intersections along the route.  A designated turnaround bay for buses has been built at Jary Rd.

Purpose

To reduce the risk of head-on and run-off-road crashes on this section of road.

This project will increase the safety of this section of road, helping to reduce serious crashes resulting in serious injuries and deaths.
