The new Ōtaki to north of Levin expressway will improve safety, reliability, and efficiency for those moving around or through the Horowhenua District and lower North Island.
The new expressway is one of the original Roads of National Significance. Construction of the expressway began in October 2025 and is expected to be complete by the end of 2029.
