From Monday 16 January 2023, you will see Ventia maintaining or repairing flexible road safety barriers along sections of SH1 Transmission Gully.

Flexible road safety barriers that have been struck along SH1 Transmission Gully have done their job in preventing head-on and run off road crashes. The barriers are important in preventing crashes that would otherwise cause significant harm and keep people in the vehicle safe by absorbing the impact of the crash.

You will also see CPB Contractors and HEB Construction (CPB HEB JV) starting on bridge works along SH59 near Linden from Wednesday 18 January. This is part of the final stage of the Transmission Gully project and will include occasional daytime lane closures over the next three months. Please expect minor delays at times.

Stop/go traffic management will also be in place at the SH1 Transmission Gully/SH59 Paekākāriki interchange for watermain works from Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 January, 7pm-5.30am.

Please help us keep drivers safe by planning your journey before you set off and passing worksites with care.
