Published: | Category: Application , Road marking , Specifications | Audiences: Road controlling authorities, Road traffic engineers & consultants

This specification describes technical, testing and certification requirements for mechanically controlled road marking applicators and associated equipment to be used for the application of long-life materials in compliance with NZTA P22 Specification for reflectorised pavement marking, NZTA M24 Specification for audio tactile profiled road markings, or NZTA P30 Specification for high performance road markings.

NZTA T12:2013 has been branded with joint NZ Transport Agency/NZ Roadmarkers Federation branding and updated to reference specifications issued by the Transport Agency since T12 was last issued in 2003 including NZTA M24 Specification for audio tactile profiled road markings, NZTA P30 Specification for high performance road marking, and NZTA T18 Specification for thermoplastic pre-melters and heating systems. The revised T12 now includes small pedestrian controlled applicators which do not have automatic line spacing capabilities, a new applicator classification system and improved description of tests in T12.
