RCA annual data quality results

Published: | Category: RCA data quality , Research & reports | Audiences: Local & regional government, Road controlling authorities, Road traffic engineers & consultants, Roading contractors

The annual summaries are the result of the Road Efficiency Group’s (REG) annual assessment of each Road Controlling Authority′s (RCA) asset management data.

Each spreadsheet summarises the reported annual high-level results for a RCA based on an evolving data quality framework of metrics interrogating data for a range of data quality dimensions including completeness, accuracy and timeliness.

This is produced by summarising the individual RCA metric results generated within REG Insights. REG Insights is the only place where the metric level of detail is available to each RCA.

Information about each metric contained in the metric library and change register resource is also accessible via the Data Quality Descriptions section of REG Insights. This includes the RAMM SQL and Exception SQL to find the records that may have issues. These should be used to uncover gaps in processes and information, not to only fix the symptom.
