Volume 2 of the Vehicle dimension and mass permitting manual (the VDAM manual) describes how Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency processes and issues overweight, overdimension, HPMV and specialist vehicle permits.

The primary audience for volume 2 is:

• Waka Kotahi staff and contractors involved in permitting
• permitting staff in local road controlling authorities that have adopted Waka Kotahi permitting policies and procedures, and
• transport operators and truck and trailer manufacturers who want to know how permit applications are assessed.
