Project Emissions Estimation Tool (PEET)

PEET is a GHG emissions calculation tool developed for use in the early stages of a project. PEET provides a high level estimation of the GHG emissions through the life cycle of a project: construction, operations and maintenance, and vehicle use (by calculating enabled and/or avoided emissions). PEET can be used when making decisions on a project or programme business case and can also be used to estimate emissions for different design options.

Project Emissions Estimation Tool (PEET)

Carbon Gauge Tool

The Carbon Gauge tool was developed in 2013 by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency together with the Australian Roading Authorities. It was designed to assist projects to estimate and understand the carbon impact of project related activities. The emissions factors included in the tool are out of date for current use and will need to be updated if used.

The tool, and accompanying reports, are provided here for information and background, while Waka Kotahi develops updated guidance.
