Air quality management

Road transport is the dominant mode of transport in New Zealand. Although it provides many economic and social benefits, it also has environmental and health impacts.

The Transport Agency is committed to actively work with other key organisations in order to reduce adverse air quality effects that may be associated with the use of the state highway network.
