The Transport Agency developed a series of eLearning modules in 2013, which introduces the key concepts of air quality and transport related assessment processes.

The air quality eLearning module is available at http://nzta.onlearn.co.nz/(external link).

Note: Please ensure that popups are not blocked to load the eLearning module.

Air quality management

Road transport is the dominant mode of transport in New Zealand. Although it provides many economic and social benefits, it also has environmental and health impacts.

The Transport Agency is committed to actively work with other key organisations in order to reduce adverse air quality effects that may be associated with the use of the state highway network.
