Our position is the resilience of the land transport system is increased by managing risks and long-term resilience challenges and helping communities quickly recover from disruptions.
Greater emphasis on Resilience within the Government Policy Statement on Land Transport 2018/19-2027/28(external link) has led the Transport Agency to shift its system-centric focus on resilience to include the community and social benefits of a resilient multi-modal land transport system.
The Transport Agency’s Resilience Framework operationalises our position statement. It also supports other strategic work being undertaken by the Transport Agency such as the Arataki – Ten Year Plan (TBC) and the Investment Decision-Making Framework.
