From November 2022, Waka Kotahi will start consultation for ITS S&S documents.

A crucial part of ITS S&S framework is the feedback you provide to draft documents. It ensures that our ITS S&S documentation is produced to the highest quality so that we can deliver a safer system for New Zealanders and provide certainty, consistency and clarity for people in the transport system and industry partners.

  • CCTV design standard: specifies the design requirements associated with the installation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) operational cameras and web cameras by Waka Kotahi.
  • CCTV delivery specification – OPS: specifies the minimum requirements for the procurement of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras used for operational purposes by Waka Kotahi.
  • CCTV delivery specification – WEB: specifies the requirements for the procurement of closed-circuit television (CCTV) web cameras used primarily by Waka Kotahi to show traffic conditions to the public.
  • VMS delivery specification: specifies minimum requirements for the procurement of all variable message signs.
  • LCS delivery specification: specifies the minimum requirements for the procurement of all lane and carriageway signals.
