Document types

Description of the document types used in the table below.

Current: These are the latest versions of the standards and specifications (S&S) documents which supersede any legacy or interim documents listed below. Where there’s a conflict between current, legacy or interim, use the current version.

Interim: These versions are pending reauthoring and are published as an indication of what is required when installing ITS equipment or systems. Some of the content in these interim documents is outdated, eg references to external industry standards. Use the interim document where no current document is listed. To confirm suitability, always contact Waka Kotahi to verify the application of an interim standard or specification at itsspec@nzta.govt.nz

Legacy: These versions have been previously available and are often a hybrid of both a standard and a specification. They are pending reauthoring and reformatting. Use the legacy document where no current or interim document is listed. To confirm suitability, always contact Waka Kotahi to verify the application of a legacy standard or specification at itsspec@nzta.govt.nz
