Road to Zero icon and guidelines

Everyone in New Zealand has a part to play in supporting Road to Zero, New Zealand’s road safety strategy. That’s why the Road to Zero icon is available for use by those working in road safety.

Adding the Road to Zero icon to a piece of work signifies association with what the Road to Zero strategy is working to achieve.

Guidelines

Please follow the Road to Zero icon guidelines to make sure use is consistently applied in design. These guidelines will be updated over time, so it is recommended you check this page each time you use the icon to make sure you have the most up to date advice.

Icon

There are two versions of the icon. The primary icon includes the te reo Māori translation and is to be used wherever possible. The secondary version - te reo Māori version, is to be used in applications that require the icon to be reproduced at small sizes.

Usage

Road to Zero is a new strategy and currently not well-recognised across New Zealand. Please include a sentence within your content to explain the link between the content and Road to Zero. The sentence should explain how [the action or project] helps achieve Road to Zero, New Zealand’s road safety strategy, by [the outcome of your action or project].

For example:

The substance impaired driving programme helps achieve Road to Zero, New Zealand’s road safety strategy, by enhancing people’s understanding of the dangers of driving while impaired by medication.
