These financial reports provide an overview of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency spending on the Clean Car Discount scheme.
The reports are updated monthly, and the figures provided are calculated on an accrual basis (total amounts from when the scheme started on 1 July 2021 until the date of the report).
The reports also include information on repayable Crown grants. These grants, and revenue from fees on high emission vehicles, help fund the Clean Car Discount scheme.
The Clean Car Discount scheme received a Crown grant when the scheme began, and after review of the financial sustainability it received an additional grant of $100 million in Budget 2023.
