Cobham Road Bridge on SH1 in Hamilton to get repaint

|

Scaffolding and screens will go up around Hamilton’s Cobham Road Bridge from Monday February 16 in preparation for a repaint, the NZ Transport Agency says.

The job is expected to take up to 20 weeks and will involve sand blasting to prepare the surface.

The protective screens will set up to prevent any dust and other debris entering the river.

The bridge railings will be removed and painted offsite, with temporary railings installed.

The Transport Agency says the work will not disrupt traffic however pedestrians and cyclists on the shared paths under and over the bridge will occasionally be redirected.

The Transport Agency apologises in advance for any inconvenience.
