This Application for a rail licence form is to be completed and submitted to the NZ Transport Agency by applicants who wish to be a rail operator, an access provider, or a rail participant who is required by regulations to hold a licence.
This application form is issued in accordance with the Railways Act 2005, sections 15, 16 and 17.
It is to be completed and submitted to the NZ Transport Agency before the commencement of any railway activity or the provision of railway infrastructure.
