SCAM ALERTS: Refund email and Vehicle licence (rego) renewal phishing emails
If you're not using your vehicle on the road for at least three months, you can apply for a temporary exemption from the requirement to continually license your vehicle (rego).
If your vehicle has reached the end of its life, or is unable to be used on New Zealand roads, then you need to cancel the vehicle's registration.
