The NZ Transport Agency is considering ways to improve pedestrian crossings and redesign a number of intersections to work more effectively on Motueka’s High St, State Highway 60.
The NZ Transport Agency is advising drivers heading south into the city on SH1 tomorrow that a new road layout will be in place at Linden along the Tawa straights to accommodate for work on the Transmission Gully project.
There will be lengthy delays of up to 20 minutes at Christchurch’s Russley Road/Memorial Avenue airport intersection this weekend as part of the Western Corridor project reaches a key milestone. Drivers can avoid delays by taking the suggested detour routes (see map below).

The meetings will outline a range of safety approaches which could be used on State Highway 6 between Blenheim and Nelson and seek community feedback on these.
The NZ Transport Agency is advising work to replace the Horoera Bridge leading to the historic East Cape lighthouse will now begin on Monday, 7 August. The work was delayed last month following a dropout on East Coast Road which meant contractors were unable to access the site.

The first section of one of Auckland’s biggest walking and cycling paths has opened today, giving communities better access to a sports field and green spaces on the Unitec Campus.

The NZ Transport Agency says one lane is to open on State Highway 25A in Coromandel this evening but further closures will be needed to get the road cleared as quickly and safely as possible.
Work on the slip below the road on State Highway 35 at Raukokore is now expected to start Tuesday (25 July) after crews were diverted to help with reopening the highway at the Waioeka Gorge.
The NZ Transport Agency says $231 million in funding announced today by Transport Minister Simon Bridges to improve the 60km section of State Highway 1 between Clarence and Oaro will increase safety, resilience, reliability, access and amenity and provide a higher level of service on the road for people living in the area and visitors to the region.
