The NZ Transport Agency says the decision and recommendation released today by Independent Hearing Commissioner Stephen Daysh on the Mt Messenger Bypass Project granting the resource consents for the project and recommending to the NZ Transport Agency that the Notice of Requirement (NOR) be confirmed is a major milestone and reflects a tremendous amount of effort and input from technical experts, communities and other stakeholders.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 14th December 2018. Please note this Traffic Bulletin is updated every Friday.

The NZ Transport Agency and the Kāpiti Coast District Council are advising that following the first trial closure of Paekākāriki Hill Road on Friday 30 November, another temporary closure of the road will take place this Friday 7 December between 2pm and 7pm.
Gisborne locals and visitors will soon be able to walk, run, bike or scoot all the way from Wainui to Kaiti, with the completion of stage two of the Wainui shared walking and cycling path expected by Christmas.
