The NZ Transport Agency has confirmed that Notices of Requirement for designation of state highways for Southern Links transport network has been issued to the three respective councils – Waipa District Council, Hamilton City Council and Waikato District Council.
A number of minor crashes on the Curletts Road roundabout on State Highway 75, near the onramp to the Christchurch Southern Motorway has prompted the NZ Transport Agency to remind motorists of the need to give way to all vehicles on the roundabout.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 30 August.
Drivers travelling between Tauranga and Rotorua through Pyes Pa are advised to expect minor delays as works will be undertaken at the intersection of State Highway 36 and Oropi Road starting on Monday.
State Highway 6, from Haast to Lake Hawea, has re-opened to single-lane traffic this afternoon after a slip saw several massive rocks fall onto the highway early this morning closing the road to all traffic.
