Central North Island travellers are being urged to plan travel times and routes with snow likely to close Central North Island roads tonight and over the weekend.
No South Island highways are closed due to snow currently, however icy conditions are forecast to continue overnight and early tomorrow in many places.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated.
