A project to upgrade a culvert in Roxburgh, Central Otago, has finished ahead of schedule and the road will reopen tomorrow afternoon – Friday, 11 November 2022.
Motueka residents and regular users of the roads and roundabout at High Street, Old Wharf Road and King Edward Street, and Tudor and High Streets need to be ready for changes to area roadworks starting this Sunday, 13 November 2022.
Resealing on a section of State Highway 6 near Wanaka Airport will start next week as part of the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency summer works programme.
Update: The planned two-day closure of SH1 Desert Road between Rangipo and Waiouru will be extended to a third day, as work is taking a little longer than we’d anticipated. This will see the road closed between 7am and 5pm on Friday 11 November.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency will soon return to work on SH1 in North Canterbury, between the Cam River bridge and the SH71 (Lineside Rd) overbridge, for a scheduled reseal.

Update: The work detailed in the traffic bulletin below has been rescheduled, and will now commence next Monday, 14 November. The work will be carried out between 6am and 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays, beginning on Monday 14 November.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency us advising motorists that temporary speed restrictions will be in place on State Highway 35 Wainui Road from 6pm Wednesday 9 November to 8am the Thursday 10 November, to allow Gisborne District Council to undertake sewer repair work.
