State Highway 21 (Airport Road), just south of Hamilton, has now been reopened with a temporary one-lane bailey bridge taking traffic over the Waikato River at The Narrows.
Reports of nose-to-tail crashes and slow driving incidents on the State Highway 25 Kopu Bridge near Thames has prompted a warning to drivers from the NZ Transport Agency.
The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is on track to reopen the Waikato River Crossing at The Narrows on State Highway 21 (Airport Road) just south of Hamilton by Labour weekend.
