The Ngā Ūranga ki Pito-One section of Te Ara Tupua is being delivered by Te Ara Tupua Alliance, on behalf of Waka Kotahi and our partners.
An Alliance is a contracting model where a project funding organisation such as Waka Kotahi works closely with design and construction companies. It is more collaborative than a standard contract for construction projects.
Te Ara Tupua Alliance consists of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Tonkin + Taylor (design partner), Downer NZ and HEB Construction (construction partners). Most roles in the project are employed through the design and construction partners, offering potential career development within these firms beyond the duration of the project.
The Alliance team is working closely with iwi mana whenua – Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o te Ika and Ngāti Toa Rangatira. We encourage uri (descendants) of these iwi to apply for roles working with us.

Working on a joint venture construction project will give you a level of variety where we truly mean it when we say no two days are the same. As the Senior Project Accountant, you'll be responsible for supporting the Commercial and Project Controls Manager with all project accounting and financial activities.
