Upcoming overnight safety improvements to keep people moving

|

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising people that safety improvements on the Killington Crescent footbridge in Māngere will take place from Sunday 28 May to Thursday 22 June between 9pm and 5am.

This will affect access to the Killington Crescent footbridge and require road closures on SH20A.

The team will be installing safety screens on the footbridge to improve safety for people walking and on wheels as well as motorists travelling underneath the bridge on SH20A.

While this work is being carried out at night-time the Killington Crescent footbridge will be closed. We recommend people walking and on bikes use Bader Drive to cross SH20A safely.

There will be lane closures on SH20A between Kirkbride Road and the SH20 Link. Details of the closures and detours over this period is available here: www.nzta.govt.nz/asm/upcoming-maintenance

We appreciate these works may affect people travelling to and from the airport. Our teams will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum and that traffic volumes are closely monitored while this work takes place.

Please note that these works are subject to change due to weather and we strongly recommend checking the Waka Kotahi Journey Planner for the latest updates.
