NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) and Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi Alliance are pleased to share a safer, more efficient design to replace the existing State Highway 2 Melling intersection.
Update: SH1 southbound will now be closed from 9pm to 4:30am on both Tuesday 18 June and Wednesday 19 June, as more time is required to complete these works.
Following multiple breaches of a road closure for this critical maintenance project, NZTA Waka Kotahi is extending state highway closure plans for State Highway 53 Tauwharenīkau Bridge.
