Bus stops require both ongoing maintenance routines and reactive maintenance that should be considered while designing bus stops.

Guidance for those designing or approving Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TMP) for activities that will affect a bus stop. Activities may include temporary traffic management while the bus stop remains open or, the stop being temporarily moved, or temporary closure of the bus stop.
