State Highway 58
There are several recreational shared paths planned as part of the final phase of the motorway project. Additional work will happen in 2024 to complete the Pāuatahanui path and the landscaping around the SH58 Interchange.
SH58 (near Bradey Road)
- Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 April (nightworks) eastbound lane closure under stop/go traffic management for surfacing.
- Thursday 18 April (nightworks) westbound lane closure under stop/go traffic management for surfacing.
- Final surfacing of Bradey Road is scheduled for after Easter for four nights, pending TMP approval.

State Highway 59
The 1.7 kilometre SH59 extension between Paekākāriki and Mackays opened on 19 December 2023 however, some work remains and will be completed over the next few months.
This work is part of the Stage 2 completion works for the Te Aranui o Te Rangihaeata – Transmission Gully motorway project.

SH59 near Paekākāriki northbound onramp
- Daytime stop/go work for final surfacing 3–24 April – plan for short delays at times.
- Paekākāriki Link Road (under Transmission Gully overbridge) 26 April – 23 May final surfacing work, one-way southbound only.
SH59 Extension intersection and northbound on-ramp
- SH59 closed for final surfacing. Intersection completion work 13–16 May. SH59 Extension closed for final surfacing, planned to open 17 May.
- SH59 Paekākāriki northbound on-ramp closed 20–25 May. Use SH59 extension to Mackays Crossing.
- Whareroa Road roundabout and Mackays Crossing offramps re-surfacing works 7–31 May.
