The Paekākāriki interchange connects motorists to and from Kāpiti with the ‘old SH1’ coastal route – renamed and signed as SH59.
With northbound on and southbound off-ramps, this will be the main interchange for motorists travelling between Kāpiti and Paekākāriki, Pukerua Bay or Plimmerton. This is also the last southbound exit on the new motorway for 15km,
Motorists travelling northbound on Transmission Gully (such as from Wellington) to Paekākāriki, should take the northbound off-ramp at Mackays Crossing and then travel south to this interchange.
