The Transport Services Technical advice note (TAN) is a formal memo which keeps all relevant people up to date and aware of any new releases, interim acceptances, changes and updates to technical information, specifications, legislation, etc in relation to highway projects.

This is being used in place of the email memos you may have been receiving from the technical teams across the Transport Services group.

The Technical advice note series should be seen as the one source of truth associated with changes to our technical requirements.

It is sent to registered users, both internal and external to the NZ Transport Agency.

Subscribe to the Technical advice note - the one source of truth for highways information.

#16-08 Highways Information Portal has moved

Published: | Category: Technical advice note | Audiences: Road controlling authorities, Road traffic engineers & consultants, Roading contractors | Author: Highways and Network Operations

As of May 2016, we have migrated all the information and pages of our Highways Information Portal (HIP) into nzta. govt. nz to give it the same look and feel as our external website as part of an Transport Agency-wide consolidation exercise. Highways Information Portal
http://www. nzta. govt. nz/roads-and-rail/highways-information-portal/

If you have the HIP bookmarked, please update the bookmark in your internet browser to this new address. An automatic redirect will ensure anyone trying to access the old HIP pages will be taken directly to the new HIP pages. Content and structure of the site is largely unchanged, with the exception of SAP and TIO being moved into the Processes section. We have also incorporated the Air Quality and Acoustics websites of the Environment and Urban Design team into the new HIP.
